Privacy Policy for Motion Cues

Motion Cues ("the app") does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, usage data, or other information about you or your device.

What the app does

Motion Cues reads your device's motion sensors (accelerometer / linear acceleration) to draw a moving dot overlay that helps reduce motion sickness while riding in a vehicle. All sensor processing happens entirely on your device, in memory, and is discarded immediately after use.

Data collection

The app collects no data of any kind. Specifically:

• No personal information is collected.
• No sensor data, usage statistics, or diagnostics are recorded or transmitted.
• No accounts, sign-ins, or identifiers are used.
• No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs are included.
• No advertising is shown, and no ad SDKs are included.
• The app does not request Android's Internet permission, so it has no technical ability to send data anywhere.

Data storage

Your tuning preferences (dot speed, color, sensitivity, etc.) are saved locally on your device using Android's standard app-private storage. This data never leaves your device and is deleted automatically if you uninstall the app.

Permissions the app requests, and why

• Display over other apps — draws the peripheral-vision dot overlay on top of whatever app you're using.
• Post notifications — shows the required persistent notification while the overlay's foreground service is running, with a quick Stop button.
• Foreground service — keeps the overlay running reliably while you're using another app.

None of these permissions are used to access, collect, or transmit personal data.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the update will be posted at this same URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
